I WANT TO TITHE
Malachi
3:7-8 - Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine
ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you,
saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? Will a man rob
God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes
and offerings.
IS REFERENCING
Deuteronomy 14:22-23 - “Set aside a tithe—a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. Then go to the one place where the LORD your God has chosen to be worshiped; and there in his presence eat the tithes of your grain, wine, and olive oil, and the first-born of your cattle and sheep. Do this so that you may learn to honor the LORD your God always.
TWO
CATEGORIES OF TITHES
*Deut 14:22 - “Set aside a tithe—a tenth of
all that your fields produce EACH YEAR.* Talks about YEARLY TITHES to be
eaten by the Tithers in the presence of God
*Deut
14:28-29 - At the end of EVERY THIRD year bring the tithe of all your crops and
store it in your towns. This food is for the LEVITES, since they own no
property, and for the foreigners, orphans, and widows who live in your towns.
They are to come and get all they need. Do this, and the LORD your God will
bless you in everything you do.*
If
any preacher wants to claim your tithe with Mal 3vs8, then it's once in 3 years, not
monthly. I believe in Tithing according to Scriptural definition, not church
religion demands.
*Mal
3:8 - I ask you, is it right for a person to cheat God? Of course not, yet you
are cheating me. ‘How?’ you ask. In the matter of tithes and offerings.*
Malachi
a minor prophet makes references to Major prophet Moses in *Deut 14:22-23 -
“Set aside a tithe—a tenth of all that your fields produce each year. Then go
to the one place where the LORD your God has chosen to be worshiped; and there
in his presence eat the tithes of your grain, wine, and olive oil, and the
first-born of your cattle and sheep. Do this so that you may learn to honor the
LORD your God always.*
You
can't obey Malachi 3v8 without 3v7 ANCESTRAL CONTEXT of TITHE and OFFERING law
REFERENCE in Deut. 14 Full Definition.
An offering is FreeWill, and Tithes are very directly explained in the Holy Scripture.
